Ilford MG Classic FB Paper Badly Curved

Differential expansion/contraction between front and back is always a possibility when the two surfaces absorb or give up atmospheric moisture differently over time. I've had worse curl with MGWT than with Classic or Cooltone. It can also be a factor of the age of the paper. In a few cases, even the weight of the easel blades wouldn't overcome it, and I had to temporarily tape down the blades themselves with masking tape. Vacuum easels are an option; but they don't work if the edge curl defeats the vacuum draw itself by allowing perimeter air in.

What amazes me is just how flat current Fuji color paper lies, even when it's cut from a big tightly-wound roll. It's not fiber-based, but still, how have they accomplished that? I rarely even need a vac easel anymore.

Been dealing with the paper curvature on Ilford-branded FB paper for over several boxes; I tape the easel’s bottom lid down - it’s annoying but it works.

The more annoying problem is wrinkles on the edges of the paper once it dries - no amount of pressing in the dry-mount press seems to work. Not all the sheets from the same box; - seems to be random (same processing, in the same session).
I started noticing this problem about a little over a year ago.
