Absolutely not......

ILFORD last had a worldwide price increase on film ( not paper ) in February 2013

Did Ilford Delta 3200 film prices jump up? I just bought some a couple weeks ago at $7.99 per 135 roll but now BH has it at 8.99. Adorama still has $7.99 but is back ordered.

Are we going to see a price hike?

If Ilford sell in GBP the USD slipping long term will harden prices in dollars for foreign goods letter to congress man dipped in perfumes...

We are getting a lot more Ch tourists and their English is pretty good.

The squid to USD has been steadily climbing since July last year, if anything Ilford has risen in price in USD then that's probably the reason...

Dear Pentax user,

Regarding MG COOLTONE RC in the UK.

The UK Sales Manager has agreed to communicate to the UK trade regarding this and we will post an outcome on June 1st or sooner.

Simon ILFORD Photo / HARMAN technology Limited :

Simon, I had assumed that the posted outcome would be on this thread but I may have been wrong in my assumption or it may be that it has just "slipped" a little from June 1st. These things happen

Has any announcement been made and if so where do I find it?

Thanks

Dear Pentaxuser,

The price for ILFORD Multigrade RC COOLTONE was reduced to the UK re-sellers on 6th May 2014.

Dear Dr.Croubie,

ILFORD Branded film worldwide* prices were raised on February 1st 2013 no other worldwide price increases have been applied since then. ILFORD Branded monochrome paper prices were increased in February 2012 no other worldwide price increases have been applied since then.

* Worldwide means to all markets, some price increases have applied to single markets since that date, in this case Japan only since those dates.

Dear Pentaxuser,

It wasn't, many apologies, completely slipped my mind.

No problem Simon. As I said these things happen. Good news that action was taken by Ilford. I wonder if any U.K APUGers who use CT RC can comment on whether they have seen any announcement by their re-sellers on price

Anyone in the U.K. care to say?

For what it's worth, the major retailers in the US appear to have kept all of the extra profit to themselves, as FP4+ is still a fair bit more expensive than HP5+ everywhere.

Lucky me, being an HP5+ user all the way.

And the Cooltone paper is also still showing at a higher price. (74 vs 65 dollars for 50 sheets glossy 11X14 at B&H for example.)

Right now I see FP4+ 135 36 at B&H at $ 4.99 and HP5+ 135 36 at $ 4.75

In sheet film, delta100/FP4+/HP5+ are all the same price. It's great! At least last I bought a month ago, in 4x5 and 8x10

That makes it easier to choose based on film quality alone, when price is not a factor. I think I'll continue shooting HP5+, but will probably buy some FP4+ when I run out of what's in my film stash.

Agreed, I would think (if ilford could support this) it would be great to make them all one price across the board in all sizes, or HP5+/FP4+/Delta100/Delta400 one price and PanF+/Delta3200 another price but those two the same, they seem similar ENOUGH that it wouldn't hurt to make them even? I dunno? I do agree it would give Ilford a clear idea of what is being bought based on preference of film and not price.

Why would Ilford be interested in preference of film, other than to increase the price of the more popular ones? They may use a uniform profit margin.

And the retail price is not controlled by Ilford...

A retailer might increase the price of a slow line, reduce stock holding or not stock a slow line at all. eg you have omitted SFX.

Why are you looking at B&H? Don't you get an employee's discount?

If he do, I like and use B&H Photo nearly exclusively, so, I'll take some 120 of each please!
