Now I am starting to use my single exposure back and holders/stuff, the 500C/M is so tiny when using it with 6x6 sheet film. It'll fit in a jacket pocket.

I've been pondering one of those sheet film backs. Are you hand cutting the film?Would there be any chance of getting a plate into one (glassor aluminium I guess?)

Yes I have Hasselblad Scissors for cutting 6x9cm film. Don't think glass plates will fit properly. XRAY does work very well 6x6cm Andrew!

At our most recent meeting, the owner of the subject Hasselblad had it with him.
The case containing the equipment was in front of him, sort of in the centre of the group.
Andrew was sitting beside me.
I'd say that he kept glancing toward the case like a dog sensing a treat, but that would be disrespectful ....

You need a reset Andrew, concentrate on making new images, work on a project, maybe more than one.

Is it worth going down the comparison of gear, processes, and film & developer comparisons.

Life is too short Andrew, buy it. If you later regret it, (how to get it passed your wife) you can probably sell it for more than you paid for it.

At a previous meeting, the owner actually let me play with it, all three lenses, and a roll of film. And yes, it was distracting me somewhat during the last meeting. Probably explains why I couldn't concentrate on that quiz we did...

And I've heard that if you pull up to Tim Horton's with a Hasselblad you'll get a free donut with your coffee.

Andrew, just think about what a aHasselblad system camera would allow you to achieve. Interchangable backs with different films, light and easy to transport, a Zeiss Planar 80mm lens that is the dogs bollocks of optics. Even a Leica lens next to a Zeiss Planar may roll off the table in an effort to compete and commit suicide.

My wife gets after me if I leave stuff on the dining room table. Hasselblads can sit for a couple days, no complaints

The fisherman's sandals with the raincoat make it quite the outfit. His leery grin really helps the image of the Hasselblad photographer, too.
