.... says the man (sic?) with the "silver" N75. Enough said. 🙂

What is wrong with the silver N75? At a glance I know that it is the camera with color film. Evidentally you do not have enough in your life and you must erect false values to you can look at yourself in the mirror.

Does anyone have a side-by-side photo of the black N80 and N75? Sorry, if there's one that's already been posted. I'm too lazy to go look.

Sorry, I meant black N80 and N75. I have a silver N75 and black N80 myself. BTW...that's a lot of lens for that N75.

Picky, picky, picky. Why not use Photo$hop?

As for lenses....there is a very big price difference between the 50mm f1.8 D and the 35mm F2 D. Is it worth it? If you could only have one, would you choose the 35mm over the 50mm? Do you notice any handling difference of the camera with either of these?

There is a very big price difference, made even bigger by the likelehood that the 35 will need to be fixed/serviced due to oily blades.
Apologists will say you need to store the lens on its side or end or whatever nonsense it is. Which is ridiculous- that should never be a concern! It was a mfg error by Nikon plain and simple.
If your 35f2 D is fine, then it really is a fantastic lens. And my pick over the 50 1.8d if that is the choice.
But if I was concerned about budget then I’d be happy w the excellent 50 vs looking at possibly $400 after service for the 35

Huss, Looks like the camera you bought and returned is back on eBay. The seller mentions the door doesn’t stay closed unless you hold it closed or tape it. Ha. Hold it closed.

The photos of the camera STILL do not show the left side of the camera.

The shipping costs are also very high.

The black 28-80mm lens arrived today with the N55 attached. Both look brand new. Put new batteries in the N55 and it works. Feels a bit lighter than the N75. If that's even possible. Focuses the lens very quickly. I put this black lens on one of my N80's and a silver lens on the N55. Now I have an N80 with a 50mm lens on it and another with this 28-80mm lens on it. Maybe I need a third N80 with a 35mm on it.))

Yes, 350g for the N55 and 380g for the N75 and 515g for the N80. That is without batteries. The N80 batteries weigh 12g more than the others too.

So it wasn't just my imagination. Good to know. Should be a fun camera to use since it weighs just slightly more than a helium balloon.

What are the weights with the batteries since one would need the batteries to use those cameras.

Let’s throw in the weight of film while we’re at it. And lens caps.

Great catch! Add that in too. And make it a 36 exposure roll and UV or Skylight filter.
