ID-11 or D-76 at 1+1 worked really well with HP5+ for me, when I used a lot of that film. Never had any problems with it in any format up to 4x5. Still have quite a bit of HP5+ in 4x5.

you wrote "I showed my films to a pro".

After you go through a 100 rolls, go see the pro and ask a few questions about film development.

You might find yourself reconsidering the "pro" qualification.
