How to preserve Phenidone?

I've read most threads here on the subject, and yet I have to ask: why do some people say Phenidone can be well preserved for months, years and decades in simple bottles without diluting it, while some other people say it has to be diluted as soon as it arrives? The difference is too huge... There must exist some clear facts... Can someone please elaborate on this? I'm deciding how much Phenidone I should buy for the first time, and I want it to last for a few years... Thanks.

i keep mine in the freezer, sealed in the bottle and then a zip lock bag. its three years old now and works as new. I do the same with my metol and glycin, all three chems are years old and have shown no sign of losing their potency

Phenidone is stable. Keep it in a well sealed glass jar away from moisture. I have some that is over 50 years old. However a sample kept in the original plastic jar turned to tar in 6 months. No need to freeze it. This can be counter productive as freezers have a high relative humidity

I bought mine 4 years ago and have kept it in the thick plastic, air-tight container it came in, always at room temperature. It was a light yellow powder back then and has remained unchanged. I really don't know what the fuss is about.

I still have some Ilford Phenidone made in 1961 it's as good as the Phenidone I bought 7 or 8 years ago. I just store it on a cupboard shelf in my garage.

Anon Ymous, some US books claim Phenidone doesn't keep well but I've no idea where they got that from as it's just not true.

What places would it be good idea ordering it from? My first time, if someone has any advice... Possibly 50 grams...
