I really don't mean to offend you but this is a rubbish question that is more typical of photo.net and other forums frequented by people who have nothing significant to say. This is a good forum visited by many people who are dedicated and serious about their photography and have valueable contributions to make. Forums like APUG are rare, if you don't have a serious question to ask, please don't post rubbish.

I know I have probably offended you (really not my intention) but the internet is full of this sort of stuff. APUG is a breath of fresh air and i would hate to see it go the way of so many other forums.

Steve

Well, if no one else will say it, I will. I think this is a hell of a boorish way to introduce youself to APUG. You chose to slam a fellow member as your first post here?

And I think it is gratuitous to then say that no offense is intended!

I think threads like this can be helpful - particularly when one is feeling like the last standing film photographer and wondering if there is anyone out there shooting. And, FWIW, I think you owe the OP an apology.

Only one exposure today, but 30 the day before and about 26 the day before that.

Ya beat me to it.
No, we are not solving the world's problems in these forums. You can clearly see the thread title- if you don't want to read or contribute, don't bother opening it. If you are not finding 'intellectual' enough content amongst these forums, by all means, feel free to use that 'start a new thread' button.
We can't talk shop all the time. I admit, I am a beginner- I can't contribute much to a lot of these discussions- but I'm having fun reading the threads. I'll post a few pictures now and then, and they are not very good. But I'm amongst my people on this site, and am grateful for every post every member makes. (Unless it is critical of me in some way, then they can kiss my big arse)

Lighten up.

Cheers,
bob

Dude, the bars aren't even open yet today.

So far about 8 shots.

Last night I noticed that over the past week I've run up about a dozen rolls of processing backlog.

Four shots of the kids doing arts and crafts at the Museum of Nature. I noticed this thread on a day I actually took some pictures. I've been leaving my camera at home lately, vowing to lay low in that respect until I've caught up with my printing. My resolution is working; halfway done and only 18 rolls to develop, proof and print.

However, today I couldn't resist. I like having the camera with me because its presence makes me LOOK and SEE. I like that activity most of all. Occasionally I take a good shot.

It was a beautiful day. The sun was out. We don't see that often enough near Cleveland, Ohio. The snow has melted away from the canal locks I'm working on for a series, so I could get at what I want to shoot. It was close to 70 degrees F, a week after a snow fall. Shot the most 7x17 I have ever done in a day, 14 sheets from my seven holders from 9:30 AM to 1 PM. Too pooped to go home and reload. Looking forward to seeing if I hurried too much and made mistakes. I love this retirement hobby. It felt good. Took an old folks short nap and then went to evening class at the university.

4 shots this morning before work. My girlfriend's sunflowers had bloomed and were looking particularly healthy. I needed an excuse to try out a new 50mm lens.

Well, I started souping the film I shot over the weekend last night. I got through two runs in the Jobo before I had to call it a night. What I've seen so far is going to be good stuff. I can't wait to print it now. I have about another 20 sheets of 5x7 to process though, so I'll be lucky if I have it all processed before the weekend.

Being a full time employee, full time student, and having a business on the side allows very little time for photography. But tomorrow I'll probably burn a couple of rolls of APX100 with my (to me) new Agfa Defender camera. It seemed appropriate to use my last rolls of Agfa film in an Agfa camera.

Other than that it's been a drought. I've been printing a lot more than exposing film. Probably went through about 200 sheets of 8x10 and 50 sheets of 11x14 the past two weeks. No more Agfa MCC, sigh. But I'm excited to order some Emaks and Varycon to try it out.

More family portraits last night with a different segment of the family--6 sheets of 4x5". I'd hoped to do them outdoors, but they got home too late, so I assembled the three most powerful lamps in the house to use as the main light together with a chandelier over the dining room table and a portable reflector I'd brought with me as the fill, and I could get f:11 at 1/4 sec. shooting Efke PL100 at EI 200 for processing in Acufine. The lighting looked surprisingly good on the groundglass. Today we should have all of Melchior's grandparents in one spot during the daylight hours, so I'll try for an outdoor portrait.

None at all. Shot four frames (35mm E6) last week before the weather returned to "subaqueous".

I'll either have to rig up my home studio, or get a Nikonos...

Nada, since it's a weekday and the boss still expects me to work for my paycheck (the inconsiderate b-tard)!

Hoping to burn up some film this weekend, but weather forecast is not looking too good!

I hope to see those portraits in person!!!!

I am off in about an hour for a whole day of vintage Bridge photography, got my maps and routes all laid out. I have about 60 sheets of 4x5 loaded, plus lots of Provia and APX-100 35mm for my Leicas. I may shoot up to 15 to 20 bridges, if I can find them. The REASON I started this thread is to see if many of us actually SHOOT regularly. It is one thing to fondle our equipment, but the meat of photography is getting out there and shooting.

The weather in the north of England and full time job means I shoot maybe a roll of 120 a month

Hey, Tom, good seeing you on APUG, and good talking to you this morning!

I did get the outdoor shot the next day. So I went to Vegas for 10 days, didn't walk into a single casino or shoot any landscapes, but shot 24 sheets of Adox/Efke 4x5" PL100 while the family was all together. Maybe tomorrow night I'll have time to process some film.

Today? Not a damn thing! .....BUT, last sunday...that's a different matter.

Mucho nada! And no more till I've made some more progress with my printing.
