Let's see...

  • Lubitel 166B (that was my first one when I took up film again)
  • Lubitel 166+
  • FED 5C (+ one spare)
  • Edixa Reflex Modell B (my granfather's camera)
  • Zeiss Box Tengor 54/2
  • Kodak Six-20
  • Zeiss Super Ikonta III
  • BelOMO Voskhod (+ one spare)
  • BelOMO Vilia
  • LOMO Smena Symbol
  • Ricoh Auto Half E2

That should be all. I sold a few recently and now if I buy one I have to sell one. I mostly want these to be users, if not mine then someone elses.

Okay, I'll be that guy.

Although the English name Voight is a variant of the German Vogt or Voigt (a kind of office-holder for a feudal lord or the church, like a magistrate or steward), the company is spelled Voigtländer and pronounced [ˈfoːktlɛndɐ with a hard f-sound like in "fire", a long "o" as in "probe" and a hard "g" like in "give".

Late time spelling mistake.
I know how to spell it since I search for it on EBay all the time.

forgot all my 5 variations of Rollei S/SE/LED/b35. One with Schneider lens

By the way I have never shot my Nikon F3 and 50mm f1.4
I barely shoot my manual focus SLRs except XD11 and Konica Fc1 with 40mm.
I shoot my canons and Minoltas Autofocus SLR and Minolta CL CLE the most.
I rotate the medium formats but often have PerkeoE in my pocket.

How do people with dozens of cameras keep them operational? I only have about 10-12, most are with several lenses. It is a major PITA to remember to exercise lens shutters periodically and have the right types of batteries available.

I agree it is hard but now that the kids are out of the house and I am semi-retired, it is fun picking up a fully mechanical camera and just exercising the camera while watching TV. The wife may think you are a little off. I have 2 Nikon F2s and a F currently in service with a complete overhaul/teardown where in addition to a full service, the grease is replaced with new synthetic which will outlive me and should require left exercising. I have 5 more F2s, 4 Fs and 6 F3s that I will have overhauled just to have them preserved and be ready to use at anytime. Part of my photography fun is to use different Nikon mechanical cameras even if they are from the same series.

I used to have dozens of cameras and lenses until about thirty years ago until I realised that photography is a creative activity that can't be resolved by throwing money at it, and I only kept to a single Canon FD S.L.R system selling all the rest, I have never regretted this decision.

How would I know? I am not going to go short anytime soon.

How many enlarging lenses? That's a more vexing question that's for sure and certain! 😁

Does the person or persons asking the question have a need to know?

Why do people want to know how many cameras we own ?, is it to justify in their minds their urge for obsessive camera buying is normal ?.

I like to think of it the way Rolls Royce used to describe the horsepower of their cars: "Sufficient".

I found after more than seventy years as a photographer owning many cameras is a hindrance to actual taking photographs,in that the more cameras you have the more you have to have serviced, the more you have to protect, insure, and worry about. .
I did have many cameras until about thirty years ago, when I decided to rationalise my equipment, and keep to one system, and that I wanted to be a photographer and not a museum curator.

If I get too many more, I'll have to sleep on the couch.

Are you sure? I thought it was named after Jon Voight

I do mostly Minolta SLRs. I'm not going to go count them because ignorance is bliss, I'll just say "a couple of dozen" and slink away...
