The GR-1 is wonderful ...while it's working.

Pocketable titanium body, great viewfinder info, aperture selection, focus modes... I love mine, but all too often it locks focus at half press only to lose focus upon pressing further. Others have had this and related problems.

Stay with the Mju.

Good feedback, thanks.

I used, borrowed and briefly owned various GR1s years back. They all broke in some way.

There is something about the results from the lens I really like. Negatives seem very high resolution, but perhaps not overly contrasty. I wonder if (lack of) distortion plays a part too. It's a small/subtle camera and I love the images it can create.

Sadly I hear the leica mount version of the lens often suffers from balsam separation.

I just got my first film camera, the Nikon, just over 6 months ago, and I'm already up to 11 lol. I guess only 2 per month isn't too bad, is it?

Annnnd I'm up to 15 now. Cameras are sneaky. I'm padding my stats with a bunch of cheap old ones that are fun to use every now and then though.

So, are we allowed to count "working" cameras only? about 12

Last time Jackson Browne played here in San Jose, he noticeably brought out different guitars for almost every song [he played almost 3 hours total]. Finally, someone asked him, how many guitars he owned?

To the obvious enjoyment of the crowd, he dryly responded: "there's just no way of knowin..."

17, two Polaroids, three folders, two TLRs, three medium format SLRs, three 35mm SLRs, and others, five of all my cameras are shelved, thesy are either defective, need new seals or are in the process of being sold.
My most used is the Pentax 6x7, then the Pentacon Six, number three is the Nikomat FTN, after that my Agfa Isolette II with Solinar 3.5 and new bellows.
The Rolleiflex gets used rarely these days, I like interchangeable lenses atm.

I really dont know.. however I made this list not too long ago with which I started the project of posting a picture from another camera each time I post! The list shows which I have made so far and what is left. However I have a few more than these and also, some of these are sold by now.

It's quite fun in fact, to dig up some pictures from as many cameras as possible

All is found in my flickr stream.

Way too many and not enough at the same time. No matter how many I already have collecting dust I'm always dreaming about the next one.

Nearly the same as the last time I posted here. I have gained one but given two away.

The more cameras you own the more "hostages to fate" you have, the more to protect, maintain, insure, and worry about.
I recently sold all the cameras I didn't use regularly and now only own the ones I do.

Too many...

Most of my body arsenal is up for sale now and will hopefully be sold at the PSPCS swap meet in a couple days. When I'm done, I'll probably have six film bodies. One black F with F-36, one chrome F with F-36, an F2AS with MD-2/MB-1, an F3P, FM2n with MD-12, and a Nikomat FT2. The Argus C3 has been placed on my father's dresser as a reminder of his youth... It may or may not get used, but, will at least be around.

Apologies for the back end of my treadle sewing machine poking out the side of the Calumet 4x5!
All fully functional with the exception of the Yashica Mat TLR. Oh, and the focus is warped on the little Zeiss Ikon, unfortunately. All others, including my 4 pinhole cameras made from tealight candle holder boxes and tea boxes and a half plate camera made from a cardboard box and built around a late 1800s (I think) J. Lancaster & Son Half Plate Rectigraph Lens and old film holder, work. Photo evidence aside, I'm not a collector. I think I have more than enough cameras now for every conceivable scenario

Plus, Smena-8M, Canadian Kodak Brownie, Olypmus Trip 35, couple of MF German folders and one DSLR made in Japan. All are working and more, less in use.
Previous week contact print from Brownie, which is oldest camera I have.

I sold a lot of stuff recently I'm down to six, 2 New F1's, 2 F1n's, an EF and a T90 that I use rarely that I only keep for it's TTL flash ability, and they bring such low prices now it's more use to me than the money it would bring. I have no intention to ever buy another camera in this lifetime and just hope to keep ion good health to enjoy using what I have.
