Thanks Vaughn. So a form of an "ice breaker" when you meet or greet someone in a forum. I can't get an image from a Philip Marlowe film out of my head now. He is at the bar when a "blonde doll with a cleavage you could ski down" ( staying in the parlance but closer to Mike Hammer perhaps) sits on the next stool and orders a drink. He turns towards her and asks how many cameras she had loaded :D

OK that may be the Monty Python version of the old Philip Marlowe films :D

And she'll be disapointed if you answer the question with anything less than a 5x7. But tell her you have a Big Bertha and you're in like Flynn.

Pre-Loading????
I learned (from experience) to never leave any of my film holders already 'loaded with film'... for
the next time going 'out'. Humphing a monorail and a 'bag with 'previously preloaded film holders' can lead to 'mis-tooks galore, I 'head out' with newly loaded film holders rather than finding out 'after the fact', that the 'un-noted contents' were exposed using the 'wrong' ISO...
Thus on 'returning home' any unexposed sheets go into a clearly marked 'foil envelope' with the
'type', the ISO and date are written on the outside...and I know when getting ready the NEXT time I feel quite confident that the holder in my hand does not have a sheet already 'loaded'.

Oh, there have been a couple errors over the last 3 decades of large format use -- certainly not enough to for me to consider doing that, Ken.

I have three 5x7 holders loaded -- ones I did not use on my last backpack trip (summer solstice) -- so they are ready to go in an instant. And no extra handling and dust to worry about. Then there are a few 11x14 holders left over from my last Zion trip (April '19), and a few 8x10s from I don't know when, but the film type is marked on the holders.

No cameras loaded with film.

I can't think of anything to photograph. I think everything has been photographed.

Shame, really, I still have some recently bought cameras I've not used yet.

Peak of season for me

Minolta 16 II and Kiev 30 loaded with Pan F. XA2 with Arista 400 (Tri-x version) Argus C3 with a few shots left on Max 400 (expired) and Elan II with a few shots left of Kodacolor 200.

That gives me 5? Yep.

Nikon F with UFX, Olympus Stylus with Fuji Color 200, and a sheet of HP5 in a 4x5 film holder. Probably some Instax, too.

I am going to try my best to shoot the 4x5 this weekend. The other side leaked light, so I am guessing this side will, too, and I need to mark them.

None.

I am putting all film cameras and lenses into storage because it is so humid here.
75% RH and going up today.
The cases and bags are going into large vacuum sealed bags and into the attic which is hottest part of house.

I tried to do this 2 weeks ago when not so humid but the bags from the local store had 80% failure rate.
I think the plastic was too thin near the double seal.
I bought some heavy duty ones online.

In each case there is a silica gel dessicant with color indicator.
these dessicants can be reclaimed in the microwave oven when they turn pink.

Left unpacked for use are two Pentax dslr bodies and 3 vintage k-mount lenses,
and the Speed Graphic with RH/8 back.

That is sad. Have you tried something like "The Photographer's Playbook" for inspiration? Flicking through it last night, I saw one that suggested take a photograph of "nothing", which is about the only thing left when "everything" has been photographed (artsy vagueness notwithstanding).

One: my Polaroid Super Shooter with FP-100C pack film. With this camera and film I get photos far nicer than many people would believe possible - it totally surprised me a few years ago when I began using it.

This seems to be a common problem. It never has been for me, as I always try to think, "It's never been photographed by me." At any over-photographed spot I am always curious as to just what I can come up with compared to all the others. Since I'm such a poor amateur, it usually isn't much. But then, there are those ever-so-rare occasions when the magic happens and the damned thing just sings. Keep trying, Theo. You are too talented to allow this to happen to you.

I have a very nice Polaroid 100 Land outfit with ONE final pack of FP-100C that I cannot bring myself to shoot just yet. Wish Fuji could start making it again...

Thank you for the suggestions and kind words. I am getting ideas - just need to load the camera and go for a walk.
