I'm uncomfortable with the fact that the title of the magazine suggests the inverse: that digital imaging is somehow dishonest.
Does it? The logo itself plays with it, beeing crossed out. Questions it in itself

.
For me as i said - are analogue photographers more honest, is photography itself honest? yes and no.

depending on the point of view.
Film photography has a pure and honest feel - at least in my eyes.
Exactly.
I always rejected that idea (typically brought over in the past by art historians and similar scholars) that (then analogue) photography would be honest.
Photography as such is not honest.
What attracts me in analogue photography is indicated in my username.
Thus a matter of analogue photography being more material than digital one.
But I guess some would relate this to being honest too...
As i said above

about the logo and everything
I think you rlast sentence is a good point - i feel it is about the connection, the feel.
Paul,
feeling uncomfortable with that title (as I do too), would you thus reject the publication as such or at least look into it biased by then?
(As indicated I guess many do not share our view, and by that make that title an apt choice.)
Good question - would you guys?
You've seen a couple more objections now, and for the very reasons I was afraid of. I am about as much of a non-fan of digital as they come, and I find the name repellent and snobbish. I wish you'd reconsider and name it something that can succeed because I'm 100% in support of print magazines of analog photography. A name that relates to camera equipment or analog photography is much more neutral and inviting to all. You know something like Lens Cap (not a great name but offensive to nobody)
Thank you for your input, i am afraid i won't though. honest. is more than a print magazine, it is a mindset going far beyond photography itself. it supports the way i want to live and work, my friends want to live and work, and as i think many more - together and not against each other, sharing ideas and visions.

The heart of the concept is this magazine, giving analogue photography a platform to breathe and be appriciated away from todays fast living (online) world.
I personally prefer to shoot on film, it is my great love and passion - but neither i nor anyone else in the team is against anything that is not film, it is just that we want to give analogue photography/the great artists out there who shoot film the space it deserves.
Honest or not? That's your decision to make - not mine.
