Hi...I am currently waiting for my first film SLR, a Nikon FG, that I bought off of ebay to arrive. I've been shooting with my Nikon D3100 for approx six months and got intrigued with film. I'm looking forward to seeing how my results with film compare to digital. Once I get the equipment together I'd like to try developing my own B/W film. I'm looking forward to learning from and hopefully contributing to this community.

Congrats on the Nikon, you will love it and find developing your own b/w a joy. Welcome home!

If your in Northern Virginia, I can give you a tank and reels.

Well, this is how it starts. You decide to try out some film. Then you want to develop some film. Then you want some different types of film. Then more lenses. Then maybe a larger format would be interesting.

The next thing you know....

Tons of camera equipment, a freezer that has as much film as food, and a whole bunch of great pictures that your friends adore, and would love to have.

Welcome to your new addiction!

Welcome from Charlottesville. If you need any help with developing film let me know. I have a full darkroom, and there are lots of us here in C'ville that shoot film.
