Just found this great resource!!

I'm John Meadows, located in Toronto, Canada.

I'm just getting back into film photography (which is where I started as a teenager in the 1970's) and although I can't give up digital, there is much about real film that is appealing.

To complement my Nikon D90, I just got an old N6006, and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of a Nikkormat FT2. I still have the first "good" camera I learned on, my father's Voigtlander Vito B, late 50's vintage. My guess it would work just fine after a CLA.

I am also a podcaster, and in fact my last two shows were Dead Link Removed if anyone is interested.

Is anyone aware of a podcast dedicated to film/classic cameras? If not, I'm tempted to start one; collaborators welcome, no experience necessary!

Welcome Home John,

So many of us are right back where we started from.
I started in the 70's also, bought my first XE-7 when I was 16 !
I did my Digital Duty for a few years, and realized what I was missing.
Now I'm Here To Stay ! Just wish we could say the same for Kodachrome.
Will You be interviewing any Kodachrome users for your podcast ?

Great idea! I'm thinking a podcast just for film cameras/analog photography is looking more and more likely

I head off to England/Netherlands for vacation on August 6th, so I might start this new podcast in Sept. Could I interview you then?

Cheers,

John

Will certainly have a listen to your podcasts, but there's already a very good film/classic cameras podcast. Check out filmphotographypodcast.com They started last October as a monthly podcast, but due to listener demand, now do it every 2 weeks. It's a very enjoyable program, in my opinion. They also have film and classic camera giveaways. You can download the complete archive of shows at the above mentioned address.

Hey John!

Another welcome but this one from Toronto as well! Nice to see another TO person here. Podcast sounds great! I'm at my cottage and just finished a day of making tintypes. Much fun.

Very cool! What camera do you use to expose your tintypes?

Welcome to APUG, John. There are two film photography podcasts that I know of. One is called Film Photography Podcast and the other is called Inside Analog Photo. You can find them both in iTunes.
