Hi All,
I am going to give my Beseler 67S2 one last shot at proper alignment. I am half way there but I am making no headway on the fore/aft lens stage adjustment!
I have a manual for a 67CP that came with the kit but the mechanical drawing for the arm that attaches the lens stage to the focusing mechanism shows much different hardware than I have on the S2 and the neg/lens stages are treated as one single unit.
I am asking if anyone out there in cyberspace has a manual for the S2 and what the paragraph says about aligning the lens stage in the fore and aft axis. There are several screws, shims and possible adjustments incorporated in the side to side adjustment assembly of the lens stage that could be trimmed but it is not immediately obvious what the proper procedure might be and how it is accomplished.
Anyone who has done the lens stage fore/aft adjustment, I would certainly appreciate the help.
It is possible that someone tried to make the adjustment before I purchased the unit and re-assembled the adjustment assembly incorrectly. What I believe are the two adjustment screws on the left side of the backing plate do not make proper contact enabling proper adjustment for pitch/yaw.
I should also add that the negative stage is aligned perfectly fore and aft/side to side and the lens stage aligns easily side to side but the fore and aft lens stage adjustment has me baffled.
TIA
Fred
Edit: Or, perhaps, there is no provision for adjusting the fore/aft position other than shimming?
