Hello, I'm Annika from Scotland and I'm just getting into photography. I got a hand-me-down Canon AE-1 Program and I've shot 2 rolls so far and I love it!
Just found this forum and thought it would be good for getting inspiration and advice so can't wait to get into discussions etc

Hello Annika ,

I think You are lucky because Scotland is a wonderful place for photography. I visited Scotland Waterways Webcams this morning and architecture is very pastoral and original. And there is whiskey ,
I dont know how old are you but your way will cross with Aqua Vitae one day.
AE 1 is an legendary camera and it takes excellent bw pictures and there is crowded fans of these cameras. Look around , You will find many to photograph.
Kodak is an romantic film and it takes excellent pictures. Tell us what do you want to see at your pictures , and let us help you to make your goal.

If you want to get inspiration , be a subscriber to forums and visit the galleries. Some of the pictures are excellent. And there is Middle Format , Large Format , Alternative Processes photographers and you will learn much from the galleries.

I will send you a private message and send you the scans of legendary American photographer Ansel Adams books.

Hi Annika. I'm also from Scotland and we are very lucky to live in such a photogenic part of the world. Shooting film gives you a different experience to shooting electronically, both in the craft of exposing the image then developing and printing it. Film also has a 'look' or quality which I don't believe digital can capture. You will learn a lot in your new hobby and hopefully enjoy the experience as you learn more and experiment. You can get a lot of great advice to help you along on the forum. Best wishes with your pictures and have a great time.
