Hello there! I joined up the other day after recommendation from a fellow Amateur Photographer Forumite, this looks, shall we say, an interesting place to visit
I've been using various cameras for the past year, but originally the first serious camera I owned, which I bought when still a teenager, was a Canon AE-1 with 50mm 1.8. I dont have any of that canon vs nikon stuff in me, lol, as I also use a 50mm 1.8 on my nikon f80. The nikon prolly gets used more due to the extra shutter times and aperture control, and the canon is now sadly showing his age. I have been into cameras and taking pics since a little kid, though.
I also recently got into Large Format. I had originally planned on going up to 6x7, even finding the type of camera I had wanted to use, a Mamiya RZ67 with 90mm. What a loverly camera, sadly everyone else thinks so and the cheaper models soon sold, lol! I didnt really want to consider a smaller format, I already have 35mm for that, so a friend on the AP forums told me about LF. I have to say, I've only had the Cambo SC and the 135mm Schneider for about a week but what little I have learnt has been worthwhile, I think.
Apart from photography there is one other great love in my life: music. I have a recording studio in my bedroom and around 1500 CDs. LOL! You cant get into my room, there is so much gear in there
