Hi all! I'm a 23 year old grad student, currently living in the middle of the ocean. Some may know this tiny rock as Oahu, Hawaii.

I've actually been shooting film most of my life (my dad was/is pretty paranoid about new technology, so he always used film cameras), with a brief down period when I got my first DSLR. Now I'm back to almost exclusively film. I mostly shoot Nikon 35mm (FE & FM) but I've dabbled with various cameras from toy to medium format. I just broke down and bought myself a Hasselblad 500C/M and so far loving it.

I don't know many people still shooting film -- all of the other photography kids just look at me with a mixture of amusement, confusion, and pity -- so it's good to find a place to talk about it. Hopefully, it will encourage me to get out there and shoot more. Hope to see everyone around!

Hello Echoism and welcome.

I too have dabbled on the other side. Anything that I wish to keep is taken soley on film and that includes my silent home movies, as I have lost more images digitally than I have on film.

APUG is a 50000 population island somewhere in computer hardware in New Zealand / West Pasific also.

Echoism,

Sorry there is nothing around your rock worth photographing, but welcome to APUG anyway. [I am not being Sirius now]
