hello everyone, APUGgers!
have been lurking here for a while, so it was time to register:smile: and to actively participate
Mostly a 35mm BWshooter (various canons), here and there I use also a medium format (yashica TLR), as well as some old Russian stuff.
currently without a darkroom (except the bathroom:smile: ), need to restore it ASAP, after almost a decade without it....
just badly missing the darkroom-must be my profession (chemist) doing me that....
anyway, I am always enjoying reading the very informative and constructive discussions here on APUG, definitely the best film forum community on the globe!

Welcome to APUG , T-Grain.

I think You can use your chemistry background to help to decipher some of our problems. I always liked to meet eastern block people , first they have very good education background , second they have lots of dream russian , german lens and cameras.
I will look to google earth and webcams , read tourism books to know more about your country.
Get a subscription and put your pictures to the galleries. Follow the threads as much as possible.
Sometimes , there are very interesting discussions.
If you post what you need , some of the cavaliers may send you what you need.
Tell us about your countries art education echols , new trends , I think you are watching mickey mouse with full 74 years hunger. I read many articles about communist countries and they follow hamburger culture.

Best ,

Umut

Hi T-grain,

Welcome to APUG! I know the agony of being without a darkroom (I'm in a similar situation here in Japan)...hope you can rectify that situation soon!

Dobrodošao susjed.

Welcome neighbour.

I think you are watching mickey mouse with full 74 years hunger.

What do you mean by that?

I read many articles about communist countries and they follow hamburger culture.

Hm... Can you explain this also?

In the end, I have to be more precise. Ex Yugoslavia was not part of Eastern Bloc, at least since 1948. when Tito and Stalin split.

And bear in mind, that Yugoslavia was probably most "western" of all socialist country ( there is not/there was no communist country in practice ).

hvala za dobrodošlico, Anton, in pozdrav v Vinkovce

I noticed only now, the Mickey Mouse thing....Mustafa, I cannot say we have ever experienced (at least myself) some sort of "hunger" for the west
I agree with Anton, Yugoslavia was not a part of the Eastern block, and many people have misconceptions about our former common country-and life wasn't that bad as some people think.....I can assure from my experience that school and medical system were better than today, and less expensive......but we shall not go into a political debate-I thought this forum is about film photography :D

anyway, thanx to all of you for a warm welcome again!

Welcome to APUG, T-grain. I've heard that Slovenia is a very beautiful country.

Dobrodošel na APUG, še en iz Slovenije
