Hi there! Looking forward to browsing the forums! I started with film, transitioned to digital, and want to return to film as I miss the heck out of it! I am looking into developing my own film but want to make sure I research everything thoroughly first. Any suggestions/recommendations on a cheap setup for developing C-41 in my bathroom?

Welcome to APUG. I don't develop C-41, but there are plenty of people here who do, and they should be able to get you started.

Howdy neighbor, from north central Pa. As Chazzy sez, there are plenty of folks that develope c-41 at home, not much harder than B&W. Come join us in Pennsy photo pholks in the groups section, tell us all about you.

Hey, look! Another Pennsyltucky boy!

Howdy!

Nice to know that some Pennzy boys can take that moniker without too much afront :pouty:

All my people are from up that way but I was born and raised down here in the most conservative city in the Universe.
My ole man fled the coal mines n/w of Harrisburg.

Welcome.

Well, if you wanted to give Pennsylvania an enema, Erie would be the place where you put in the tube. It's also known as the mistake on the lake.

"Pennsyltucky" is a compliment.

And I thought Cleveland OH had the market cornered on that claim! Where else can a city claim their river caught fire!
I have may ancestors from the SW part of PA. Welcome to APUG!

Greetings from the PA Dutch Country. If you can get one of the Digibase kits at Freestyle and a daylight tank you will find that C-41 is very doable in your bathroom. Many of us have been doing just this for years. All you need to do is find a dark place to load the film. I usually load mine in the basement at night.

Welcome from State College.

I develop my own C-41 in a Paterson tank using the Unicolor/Tetanal kit. Easier than black and white.

I didn't know that there were many cities which competed for the title of "The A$$ Hole of America!"
