This is my third post. I though I would take a moment to introduce myself and explain where I am going with photography.
I guess I could be labeled as a big landscape photographer. (I hate labels, and intend to violate this one in the next few months.) In the seventies I was influenced heavily by the work of Ansel Adams which is odd because I have never shot B&W. (Another personal tradition I intend to violate soon.)
I worked with a 35mm SLR until about eight years ago. My last SLR was an old Nikon FM, heck of a camera.. you could pound nails with it. After seeing an exhibition of large format landscapes I stepped off the end of the pier and bought an used Cambo 4x5 view camera. However, I have spent the last few years with a digital SLR. Did not accomplish much. The camera was smarter than I was so I did not have to think about such trivialities as exposure, depth of field and color balance So I am now back with the 4x5 Film Camera It lets ME take the photograph.
I have a tendency to go my own way artistically. My focus to this point has been traditional landscape photography but my technique seems to violate tradition.

Personally I print all my best landscapes backwards. It sounds a bit non-traditional and odd, but it is a traditional odd since I make single transfer carbon prints and that is just what happens with the process. Looking forward to seeing some of your images!
