Hi Everybody,
I've dropped by APUG several times in the past, but never signed up as a member. Yesterday, I decided to join and become a subscriber as well. This forum has a lot if great information, and the galleries are superb!
I got into photography as a child in the 1970's, and for about 10 years did my own B&W developing at home. When I moved to the US (from the UK) in the mid 1980's I had to sell all my darkroom equipment because I couldn't afford to have it shipped over. I came to the US with only my passport, a backpack of clothes, and my camera bag!
After many years away from the darkroom I have gotten back to film developing. I have a yard sale enlarger, and everything else is from thrift shops. It's been quite a while since I've had my fingers wet with hypo and developer, so am excited about getting back to the traditional darkroom!
In the past month or so I have developed several of rolls of Tri-X (35mm), and have lots of questions which I will later post in the appropriate forums.
It's good to be here!
