Greetings-
Although I became a member about three weeks ago, I reckon it's time to introduce myself.
I became interested in B/W photography way back in the late '70s when I returned to Seattle from a summer in Alaska. I never seemed to have any success with Tri-X for whatever reason but Panatomic-X and myself got along almost 100% (and I STILL miss that film!!!!!!!!!)... I ***really*** enjoyed experimenting with various developing agents to see how they acted; it was a lot of fun mixing from scratch. My interest waned in the mid-'80s but returned again around '88 or so when I did some volunteer photo work for DSHS where I was employed. I lost interest again when Kodak Safety Film 5060 was discontinued but started up again around 1997 and lost interest yet again around 2000.
So here it is- 2011- and I now have my own paid-off house and virtually all of my previous darkroom stuff... here and there. And I'm getting a hankering for using the goods again, especially since I ain't getting any younger and I have lots of film in my freezer to expose.
Hopefully my renewed interest in analog photography will remain constant this time!
