Hi and what a great forum this looks to be. I'm Chris and I'm in Liverpool UK, I'm looking forward to trawling through a large amount of the stuff that is on here and hopefully contributing a bit myself as well if I can. I shoot film and digital as do many of you I guess. In film I shoot mostly 35mm though I do a bit of MF as well with a Yashica TLR. I develop and print at home, my film developing is reasonable but my printing skills need to grow somewhat I think.

Hi Chris, and welcome to APUG from the other side of the world, where it's a balmy 24C at the moment (at almost midnight). I too shoot 35mm and MF and enjoy developing my own B&W. I am trying to concentrate on MF at the moment: I have a couple of Yashica TLRs and also a Mamiya 645 SLR. I have most of the darkroom equipment to do wet printing but not the resources for a darkroom, so I scan all my negatives and either print on inkjet or send out to Snapfish. There are a few purists here who frown on such a hybrid work flow, but the choice is not always there. You will get lots of friendly and helpful advice here; you only have to ask - and no question is a dumb question. I have been shooting for 40+ years and I still regard myself as a learner in some respects. There is always something you don't know.

Cheers, Peter.

I'm Chris and I grew up in East Liverpool, Ohio. Never really found a good answer for that one. I digress.

Welcome to APUG.

Hello Chris. I hop you enjoy being here. It does take some practice printing B&W.

Jeff
