Hi!

I'm 35 years old man and now I live in Hendaye, a town of the Côte Basque (France).

Until now I have used a DSLR (Olympus E-3) and the last mounth I have bought an 35mm Rangefinder camera with 2 lenses (28mm and 50mm).

I want to do street photography in B/W and I'm in a transition situation (from digital to film). It sounds like I'm going in the bad direction (everybody is going to digital) but I'm re-discovering the photography. Now I have to learn to use a new exposure system, new developing system...

This forum seems really very interesting!

See you!

Hi!.... It sounds like I'm going in the bad direction (everybody is going to digital) See you!

Hi there - welcome to APUG. I must disagree you are not going in a bad direction at all! You are headed in the right direction and you've found a community that's going with you!

Welcome again.

Hi Shab,
If you really want it easy to start with, get 100 rolls of Arista Premium 400 together with a couple of cans of Diafine from Freestyle photo supplies - I did that and the packet has arrived to Monaco without any extra charges or duties. The Arista Premium is a rebranded Tri-X - a street photographers dream film... and in Diafine, if you rate it at EI 800. it will get you usable images in the range of 4 stops... In B&W digital is still crap... Good luck !

Welcome.

You are going in the right direction, it's just that the signs are pointing the wrong way.

Welcome, you're definitely not going in the wrong direction - all the others are

I just love that area of France.
