Hi everyone,
I'm Nikola and I'm new to Apug. I'm an amateur photographer for about 2 years. I got my first camera, a Zenit 3M, at the age of 11. Since then I started making a darkroom, and now, at age 14, I am decently equipped to develop 35mm and make prints. I work with old ORWO films and brew my own developers, I'm particularly interested in Parodinal.
I'm also interested in pinhole photography, as well as alternative processes.
Greetings!
PS : Though I registered quite some time ago, it was not until last month that I started visiting the site regularly .

No, I find Sofia way too busy, overcrowded, and dirty. I have lived in a small city, named Sevlievo, all my life, and I have probably grown accustomed to the serenity in such a city. What's more, Sevlievo is a very nice city to take photos of - there are lots of peculiar sights in it.

Hey there Nikola from down south.
You have some quite interesting interests I see.
Do share some work with us, please.

Here are some pinhole shots (Bulgarian site) :

Pardon the poor quality, but there are really experimental shots.
Sevlievo, like many other cities in Bulgaria, has issues with stray animals and hygienic problems. Still, this offers another look at things.

you may see that I like taking photos of animals
I'll dig out other photos, but right now I don't have access to my computer, where I have the pics stored.
I'm also interested in high-speed photography, but have never tried analog, only digital tests.

Здрасти, поздрави от Бургас

Nikola - hello and welcome to APUG from western Massachusetts USA. :D

Thanks, I really hope that I'll be able to keep up doing analog photography. It is a really sad proclivity that I am noticing in Bulgaria right now - with the advent of digital photography, and the rise of prices of films, paper, and chemistry, fewer and fewer still use film. It is even sadder that (almost) no one I know, that is my age, even knows what analogue photography is. I hope that there are photographers out there, that are my age and keep analogue photography alive.
Ever since photography became a hobby of mine, I have found what a pleasure it is to work in the darkroom - the soft safelight and the astringent, yet pleasant smell of the fix  .

Yes, they are round because my camera is a cookie tin  , I chose it because it allows me to achieve a very wide angle of view.

Welcome to APUG, Nikola. Where do you still find ORWO film these days?

Welcome, Nikola, from near Washington, DC. Where are you getting ORWO films in this day and age?

WELCOME!! Nikolai!

I don't think that this work is anythink like "poor quality". Interesting emotional content!

I'd love to see more.
