Hello !

I introduce myself : my name's Guillaume, I'm 15 years old, I live in Flobecq, a little town in Belgium. I'm a student, and I study photography.

I'm doing photography for about one year and a half. I began with a digital camera : Canon EOS 300D. Quickly, I wanted to try my hand at analogic photography. First, I had another Canon : EOS 100, bought on eBay. Two weeks after the purchase, I wanted to try somethig else than AF. So, my Dad gave me his Nikon FE2 with some lenses (28mm, 50mm, 70-210mm). And that's where it all began : I had some other cameras (Nikon F, FE, f-401s, Canon AE-1, Pentina, Rolleiflex...) and I abandonned my digital camera for them.

Now, I'm just working with a Minolta X-500 and 28mm f2.8, 35mm f2.8, 50mm f1.4, 135mm f3.5 for the 35mm and a Bronica ETRS with its 75mm for the medium format. My favorite subjects are street photography, portraits, nature, ... Always in black and white ! I have a dark room in my room, where I spend several hours every weeks. I really love that !

Last thing : I learn English just one year ago, so it's possible that I regularly make mistakes, I apologize.

Best regards,
Guillaume.

Hello Guillaume, welcome to APUG. I'm glad you got into analog, it is a lot of fun! I spoke English all my life and still make many mistakes!:D

Jeff

It is great to see young people joining Apug.

Welcome.

Welcome to the forum from Oslo, you've discovered a wealth of information and friendly, helpful people !!

Mike

Welcome, Guillaume! You are among friends here. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see young people taking up film photography. Also, your English is fine—don't worry about it.

Welcome, Guillaume. I was treated wonderfully well on a visit to Belgium last year and think fondly of the place and of Belgians. You should feel free to make any mistakes without worry here, I make many myself and have yet to feel anyone thought less of me.

Guillaume, you certainly know better translators than I do...

Hi Guillaume,

I'm from Luxembourg, so we're neighbours. Glad to read you entered the film photography world. Apug is a wonderful place, it brings people all over the world together sharing the same passion for analog photography. Enjoy.

Serge

Welcome Guillaume,
I just returned from Belgium, visited Brussels, Brugge, Oostende, Neupoort, and loved every minute. The people were very friendly, and the photo opportunities were great. It is good to see you are interested in analog photography. This is a great site. If you have questions, there is always someone here that will be willing to share. Enjoy this site and photography. Les

Welcome to the forum, Guillaume. You've got a great camera in the Minolta. And fantastic parents for allowing you to mix chemistry in your room. I wish you well and, again, welcome to APUG.

Glad to have you here, Guillaume. Your English is much, much better than my French (none) or my Flemish (none).

It's because I use a translator for some sentences :D

Thank you all for your warm welcome !

Hello Guillaume.
Welcome from Canada! I'm sure you will enjoy your time here. It's a friendly bunch, and a great place to just hang out.

Welcome on the forum my fellow Belgian. Don't worry to much about the English, you will learn along the way. My niece is also living in Flobecq, she and her friend bought an old house there to renovate. She originally lived at Amougies near Mont de l'Enclus. It's a nice part of Belgium were you live.
