Here i am introducing myself,
i live and work in Italy (near Rome), 41 years old, taking pictures from the late seventies.
Started with a polaroid then i went through Zenith, Yashica and now Contax/Hasselblad.
Nowaday seems like that there is no alternative to digital ("why don't you buy a good DSLR ? You will be no longer spending money on rolls") then i patiently try to explain that in order to match the quality of a MF (Hasselblad) or a Planar Zeiss 85 f 1.4 that i own at the moment i should spend thousands of euros in photographic gears and data supports (PC, hard disks, servers....) and then spending a lot of time in front of a monitor ( i already do that at work as programmer ) i prefer spending a couple of nights per month in my darkroom.
Catching up with this site has been a great joy.
I am not alone
About photography.
I do love the "old" classics.
Robert Doisneau, Gianni Berengo Gardin, Henri Cartier Bresson, Bepi Merisio, Dorothea Lange.
I shot mainly colour negative (35 mm) but i'm slowly moving to BW.
Some of my pictures:
Thank you everybody for keeping shooting on film.
Ciao
