having trouble with hasselblad 501c film back

for some reson, i can't get the back off the camera anymore. don't want to force it any ideas?

Are you sure the dark slide is all the ways in? Advance the camera a frame and try again.

Ralph, I had the same problem recently. For me it was the dark slide interlock, as Kevin suggests.

I also had an uncooperative back and found it to be the button that released the latch. Oddly enough I have a few dark slides and one does not work as well as the others yet they seem to be identical other than two rectangular forms near the handle one raised on one side and the other depressed on the side of the raised one. My suggestion is that if the one you are using does not have that feature and you can get one that does it might solve the problem.

I am glad that you fixed the problem. When that happens to me I try a different darkslide.

I understand you completely. When it happened to me a few weeks ago, the first time I've experienced that problem, I was on the verge of tears.
