Hassy SWC - Light Meter Clip

I recently acquired a Hassy SWC/M (with a CF lens) and am curious if anyone could figure out how Shinya Arimoto clips this little Voigtlander meter on his lens shade... I've attached a picture to try and help decipher.

Hassy flash shoe adapter(see image below) clips on hood (as designed)

They make a hot shoe adapter for mini gossen meter (pilot) .. so I assume they do for the voigt too.

Pretty much sold off all my Hasselblad. But I have to say, Hassalbad has come up with a most impressive and useful lineup of well made accessories for the V.

Hasselblad, like most things photographic, suffers from the class "100 dollar" clause...

Need a shade, 100 bucks.
Ground Glass, 200 bucks.
Box of 8x10, 100 bucks.

But we love it.

Can this accessory be used to attach a spirit level such as this one?

Or in other words, is the shade well enough aligned with the body?
I lost the spirit level of the viewfinder since I've been using the Voigtlander one and have been looking for a replacement solution.

a little off topic, but is the flash TTL? or how does it work? I'm trying to use a yongnuo with it but I'm guessing it has to be fully manual...

Fully manual or thyristor controlled by the flash. Just transfer camera settings to the flash.

OK folks, a word of advise. When you pick up the SWC, especially if the lens hood is on, you can miss checking for the lens cap and take a great photograph of the inside of the cap. You will not know that you did that until the film is developed and shows you a blank negative.

So this is what I did: I put yellow gaffers tape on the edge of the lens cap and the edge of the lens hood. That way whether the lens hood is on or not, you see the yellow tape though the viewfinder and think "Did I remove the lens cap?" thus save yourself from blowing the photograph.

Never use a lens cap on an SWC. If not using a B+W filter like a yellow/green, use a transparent "lens cap" in the form of a UV or skylight filter, thereby never taking a pic of the inside of a traditional opaque lens cap.

Ahh but a filter gets dirt on it. The lens cap keeps the filter and the lens cleaned.

Another good solution is to check and see that the lens cap is off. I find this works well on all my lenses not just the SWC. It also has the added advantage of all the protection of a lens cap.

You can always write on your dark slide - HEY! DON"T FORGET TO TAKE OFF THE LENS CAP!
Then, once you've metered, composed and bubble-levelled a perfect moment in time, you will see this sage advice when you realise you forgot to take the dark slide out.

You could write the dark slide thing on the yellow gaffers tape I suppose but then this perfect system may break down? Could it be written on the lens cap perhaps?

I don't worry about a little dust on the filter, I think about all the dust between me and what I'm taking a picture of, and then there's all the dust I'm going to be seeing on my printed negative in good time
