Hasselblad 40mm CF Lens

I recently acquired this lens, but without the instruction manual. There seems to be a second focusing ring. Can anyone give me an idea of how this lens is properly used? Thanks, Jim

The second ring moves the glass elements inside the lens for better sharpness in a given focus range.
You first select the focus range and then focus. If you focus first, then move the elements, the focus might be slightly off.

If after focussing you find that the distance on the focussing ring does not correspond with the distance range set on the FLE-ring, you of course then set the correct range, and focus once again.
