I ran a test from 1898 to 2008. New Rodinal was decanted from white plastic to brown glass bottle as new. I did a test strip exposed under studio lights for uniformity every six months. Strips were identical for ten years when they started to lighten slightly.

Part of the confusion here is that R09 was the formula number for Rodinal......the best solution is to use the Adox Rodinal and know it's the genuine product. Ian

I would suggest you do use it again, but with a test film. Otherwise I don't think you'll ever know.

Realy?R09 goes bad very quickly. It is not the Rodinal that we all know.
