I have a Carl Zeiss 1:5.6 60mm Distagon lens for Hasselblad 500 series. Cosmetically almost perfect with one very minor scuff mark . . . Built in 1959 so it is way overdue for some TLC.

Focus and F stops are stiff, some minor mold and haze. This is my favorite lens  It takes very sharp photos.

What experiences with KEH for lens service? Costs? My go to was David Odess but he is no longer with us.

No service work, sorry. But if I may, from my purchases with them, I’d say they are a very reputable business. Their pricing on used lenses is fair, their warranty generous, their service prompt, they are tops at shipping and in keeping you in the loop about what’s going on with orders.
Their bread and butter is old equipment so I imagine they can service old lenses well.
Everything I’ve ever purchased from them, about 10 lenses has functioned well.
They are also prudent in describing items, which to me shows care.
Any repair is a gamble.
I’d rather trust them with my lens, or somebody reputable and long standing, like. B&H than average Joe in a small town.
Seems like cleaning and refurbishing is what a second hand camera lens store would do best.
Having said that, mark a little spot on the lens, to make sure the one you get back is the one you sent!
Good luck O!

What IpseLux wrote. Aside from rare items, almost all of my user equipment has come from them. By far the best camera store I've ever dealt with in my 35 years of photography, and that includes all the legendary places here in NYC back in my early days. Other places had more obscure stuff, but no one else was ever as above board, or fair with condition ratings and pricing.
