Heard you the first time, there.

I think it's downright silly to not comment just because they say they're going to say more later. When they do, we can address those comments. Until then, we can talk about what we do know. If you don't want to, don't.

All comments are read, noted, digested, discussed and valued.

Wow...

Tough crowd.

Hi Ken,

Not tough.......just passionate, knowlegeble, enthusiastic, dynamic, positive ( usually ) alternative thinking and creative.....can be an incendiary ( and fun ) mix!

The whole discussion on this thread revolves around a "stamp" which us Americans tend to call a "sticker".

As we do in Britain too. A stamp is what you put on an envelope to post a letter.

Steve.

Well just opened the first box of Art 300 of five I will be printing this weekend

Harmons little surprise is not in the box and I know its fresh off the boat to Canada.. I feel slighted I shall express my concerns to the GG of Canada who is the Queens rep here.

Pity not in Canada you say.

Dear Jayvo,

If you get more than 18 saleable prints FB per 50 / 100 sheets you are a better man than me!!!!

Kind Regards Simon ILFORD Photo / HARMAN technology Limited

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware of the market research that had been done.

That must also apply to the 250 sheet box as well.

With Respect,

-Josh

Dear Josh...

Nice one..... as an FYI it has, in a commercial environment about 1 in 10 sheets, as a percentage of sheets bought worldwide that are eventually sold, much, much lower.

We would like that to increase, hence the stamps.

Cool! Thanks for the info.

I think the information is much better worded now.

I respectfully dare suggesting Ilford to predispose a "certificate" in PDF to be downloaded, printed and to be signed by the photographer. Photographers tend to be quite visually oriented and "linguistically challenged".

A nicely combed piece of paper, with a general test certifing that the high-permanence procedure was followed and that the paper is actually Ilford ZZZ type, with the place for the Ilford sticker, the rubber stamp and the signature of the photographer, and a hand-written description of the subject (maybe with serial number for prints to be made in a limited series) would probably help the photographer and encourage the use of the sticker, besides promoting Ilford material as the material of those who take their photography seriously.

Dear Diapositivo,

Nice idea, I will pass it along....

I find the stamps to be a cool idea but somehow started wondering: Why is there no printing on the back of Ilford papers like it is the case with Fuji and Kodak RA4 Paper?
Like "Ilford Galerie FB Ilford Galerie FB Ilford Galerie FB Ilford Galerie FB Ilford Galerie FB Ilford Galerie FB"

Customers don't want printing on the back of a paper.
