If an event connected with the launch involves 'photowalks' then it seems to lean towards a film of some sort as opposed to chemistry.
... But wouldn't it be nice to have E-6 Harmachrome as an option with Fujichrome and Ektachrome. We need a rebirth of color reversal film use.
Maybe Harman can make an RA4 paper?
They only need to offer something that matches ColorPlus 200, or Gold. If it's priced competitively, people will buy it. Besides, it is ColorPlus and Gold that are the best sellers, being unavailable for extended periods. I have never seen the Portras and Ektar being unavailable at various major European retailers for some years now. People don't necessarily care about the finest grain or the best pallette, there's digital for this, where you're few clicks away.
I still suspect that it'll be a B&W film offering, though.
It would be easier than C41 film, but the business proposition would be fairly poor, given the competition in that segment. They'd either have to compete head to head with Fuji and a little bit with Lucky for digital print, in which Ilford/Harman have no significant distribution capability or channel control. Or they'd have to focus on the analog color printers only, which would make it incredibly difficult to recoup R&D costs. In that sense, a C41 product would be more logical. Of course, I've stated my concerns about this many times now, but it would of course be absolutely thrilling if this were the case. I still suspect that it'll be a B&W film offering, though.
Over 750 posts: Whatever it was, it certainly got Photrio's attention.

I mentioned POP a while back. Still wondering about it.
How many do you think will put money out to actually buy whatever it is?
