I am working on a group purchase of these products for APUGers living in the US to reduce the costs of bringing them across the pond. I will handle the ordering, receiving and distribution in the US. The plan is to collect one half as a deposit with the balance due when I receive the products prior to the US distribution. Not sure when the order will be placed and the timing will probably depend on the interest level. I just finished up a darkroom workshop with Les McLean and I am anxious to get one. Please let know if you are interested via PM and I will keep everyone updated with regard to the timing. There is always the possibility that there will not be enough interest so I will not collect any deposits until the interest level warrants it.

I am also going to work on getting the "Hocus Focus" device which is a very simple yet effective focusing device used when printing.

Regards,
Bill

It's been done already. Last years Texas workshop.

Frank Filippone coordinated the purchase of the timers and went the extra step to do some modifications for US connections.

Will Sadler coordinated the purchase of the "Hocus Focus".

I did not get the timer then but am more inclined this year. I did get the Hocus Focus and is really worth the money.

Please include me as a definate maybe.

It is a little plastic gizmo thingy that you hold between your fingers and touch down anywhere on the paper. It has a little square that allows you to focus the image. Dig deep, it will come back to you.

Here's a link Hocus Focus

Interested

Interested in the Hocus Focus and the flasher. Don't need the timer (my Beseler 45 has the BZE computerized head with built in timer).

I need to know what the Hocus Pocus is. I tried R&H web and found no answers. I have the R&H timer and meter.

It's Hocus Focus, not Pocus, and it's not from RH Designs. Bill posted a link about 3 posts back.

Sorry Walt. Didn't mean to jump on you, by any means. You are not the first or last person to call the gadget "hocus pocus".

Prices and Deadlines

The interest level is very good so my plan is to gather all of the quantities. While the prices may vary slightly they are as follows based on today’s exchange rates:

Price / Deposit
StopClock Pro $320.00 / $160.00
Paper Flasher II $111.00 / $55.00

StopClock Vario $357.00 / $179.00
For Zone VI enlargers with built-in sensor - includes sensor cable

StopClock Vario $389.00 / $195.00
For other cold light heads - includes light sensor assembly

Nova Hocus Focus $36.00 / $18.00

At this point the quantities are acceptable for me to front the money less deposits. If the quantities increase substantially I may have to ask for an increase in the deposit amount.

My target is to have the deposits in by June 15th so this is the date.
I will place the order for deposits received by June 15th. I can assure everyone that should something fall apart that is beyond our control and we end up not ordering that I will refund all deposits in full. Once the order is placed there will be no refunds. I will notify everyone after I receive the goodies and will ship them upon receipt of the balance due. I also encourage everyone to visit the RH Designs web site for additional information on the products. The user manuals are available for download.

My preferred method of payment is PayPal (wfe@wfephotography.com) but a check will be fine just PM me and I will send you my address.

I believe that I have it covered and not omitted anything.

Bill

Hey Bill... thanks for organizing. Any idea what the shipping will cost per item, or do you need to place the order to figure that out?

Thanks,
Suzanne

We will figure out the shipping costs after we have final quantities. I don't believe that it will be signifigant. The more units we have the cheaper the shipping costs.

I would just like to say "well Done" to Bill for getting this shipment together.

Speaking as someone who recently added the Stop Clock Pro to my darkroom, I know whoever jumps on board, for want of a better phrase, will not be disappointed.

It is a beautiful piece of kit that oozes quality. More importantly, it has proved itself invaluable in my darkroom, making a session not only more pleasurable, but also with more precision and the ability to repeat a print time and time again.

Go for it, you won't regret it.

Regards

Stoo

Footswitch

According to the RH Designs web site the foot switch is included with all timers except the Paper Flasher. If anyone is interested in a foor switch they are around $15.00 based on today's exchange rate so just PM me and let me know.

I'll ask the dumb question here since I've not used a flasher, is the footswitch a big help?

You know... I had never used a footswitch until I took Les' printing class last year. I started using one when I got my StopClock Pro, and now, I am trying to figure out how the heck I ever did without it! haha

I am going to get one for the flasher I'm ordering, too. I'll just have to figure out how to keep them from fraternizing! haha

So I take it, the Stop Clock Pro's footswitch, can't be used with the flasher????

Suzanne,
It is my understanding that it is the same switch and will work with either. You may want to confirm this with RH Designs.

Bill
