i just noticed this thread, I've been a member for about three months now and will soon be a subscriber as I find this site an invaluable resource.
I'm a producer/director that is a partner of an independent motion picture house based in the NY Metro area. My older brother got me into photography (I was like 7) and when he moved out I had a complete darkroom and camera collection, this brought me closer to my true calling: I started in cinema & television at an early age, having special permission to work in a studio when I was twelve. Four over fourteen years I have been working on and off sets as a set photographer, gaffer, lighting specialist, cam assistant and eventually DP. Now I'm fortunate enough to make a living from off of what I truly enjoy: working on motion picture film (mainly sfx sequences for other productions) for me, APUG is my resource for expanding my knowledge of the medium as well as sharing my experiences with fellow analog photographers/cinematographers.
cameras I use most often:
Kiev 88, Pentax 35mm, Adox Golf, Eastman Autograph N2, Hanimex 110 w/ Flash.
Film: Canon Scoopic, Minolta Super 8mm and rent what I can't buy
I prefer Eastman Kodak Stocks, but I'm a sucker for experimentation and like to make my own emulsions and play around with alternative processes.
