Greetings from Michigan

Greetings all,

I'm Jake, a university student from a certain university in the frozen upper midwest of the United States. I have a degree in Art (photo concentration) and instead of entering the worst job market since the 1930s, I turned around and began a degree in biology, doing electron and light microscopy. I shoot 35mm, medium, and large-format, and am somewhat of a darkroom/lab junkie- photo and otherwise. ((My current favorite camera is the scanning electron microscope- yes, it will take 4x5 film)) I hoover around this border between the 19th and 21st centuries... and wonder if anyone else does that.

Hello, Jake and welcome! I too am from Michigan (Southeast) and I am attending one of the Universities here part time, think Urban (Wayne State). What part of Michigan are you in, if you care to share that info? I am often looking to find others looking to get out and shoot ... I hope to get out again soon. I may even make a trip up to the bridge this winter who knows...
