Hello all. I'm 26 and have been completely addicted to photography and film since my dad gave me his Durst F30 enlarger, plus his OM-1 and Zuiko 50/1.4 outfit about a year ago (still one of my favourite cameras!)

Since then, I've learnt how to develop and print B&W at home, and have added a Durst M601 (6x6) to do MF enlargements on. I've also just recently set up a semi-permanent darkroom - no more setting-up and tearing-down the enlarger in a cramped bathroom

I shoot mostly landscapes in 35mm B&W, but I'd like to shoot more on my MF cameras now that I have an enlarger that can do 6x6. I also have a 4x5 Crown Graphic that I'd like to use more, but I'm limited to doing contact prints from it at the moment.

See you around,

Stacy.

Hi Stacy,
Welcome from eastern Canada. It's a balmy -42c (with wind chill) here today.A bit different in your neck-of-the-woods I gather. My former college roommate lives in Prahran Aus.

Welcome, Stacy!

I had to check where Geelong was...looks to be a nice location! (all my rels...wife's side... are up in NSW, east of Port Macquarie).

Hi Stacy, from the south-west corner of the coast of British Columbia, Canada.

well g'day from another one on the other side of the planet

Hafta say that I have fond memories of the OM-1 meself. The crown is a nice start into 4x5. Have you been developing the 4x5 at home yet? If you haven't been developing the 4x5 at home yet sheet in tray is not hard and (screw together) tubes can be made up easily to take the process out of the tray (and allow some lights). Perhaps its worth popping over to Hybridphoto and talking about the nifty things you can do with that and a humble used epson 3200 or 4870 scanner.

anyway ... keep in touch if you have any questions ;-)

Welcome from Melbourne western suburbs.
That Crown graphic will do wonderful landscapes.
We'll have to keep our eyes open for a 5x4 enlarger for you.

Hi Stacy,
welcome to the forum.
I work at the Gordon Tafe in the library, so if you want drop in and have a chat. I use an 8x10 camera and one of our other staff members uses a 4x5. If you want to try mine out send me a pm.
Mike
