Gordy's camera straps

I want to buy a strap for my F5! First off, will I need a neck pad for this camera? I will be carrying the strap on my shoulder only.
Second, [I have sent a email to Gordy about this] do you think I can send cash in the mail with measurements, colors, shipping info, ect, and have him make me a strap this way?

Finally, can I have some quick reviews of these straps from you guys?

All I can say is that I ordered a camera strap from Gordy for my N80 and I could not be happier with it. It is much nicer and more substantial than I had expected.
