Gibellini and Stenopeika: Italian's new folding cameras

I ordered a Gibellini which arrived on Tuesday.
I took it out yesterday and it is hands down the most user friendly, beautifully crafted camera I've ever used.
I know cameras don't make photographs better or worse but the inspiration I'm getting from this one sure is powerful, and I'm not a gearhead.
I plan to do a little write up about it but I want to use it a bit more before I do.

I saw one of these new large format cameras on facebook and checked back here to see if we have a thread on them here and found this in the Italian Regional Forum, so I'm moving it to the LF forum. They look to be very compact and lightweight based on the description, and priced reasonably for a new camera--built to order for around 675-2250 EU for an 8x10 from Stenopeika. Manufacturer's price for an aluminum/carbon fiber model with a custom bellows is 3200 EU according to Gibellini's facebook page.

Rorye, how is yours working out so far? Any other users out there?

Gibellini's website lists CatLabs as a US dealer. Is that happening and what are the details?

The version on the Stenopeika website has more wooden parts. The version on Gibellini's site is more aluminum and carbon fiber.

I believe that Gibelini and Stenopeika are 2 different manufacturers.

Are they? That's a good question. The design looks similar enough, especially the shape of the base, that I would have thought they were made in the same shop. Looking more closely, the knobs and struts are different styles, so maybe one is just copying the other.

Yes, they are two separate companies.

Yes - we are selling Gibellini in the US !

Rorye, how is yours working out so far? Any other users out there?

Hi David, I like the camera quite a bit. It's an early model in cherry wood and aluminum.
There are a couple of things I'm going to tweak on it but in general I like it.
In the six months I've had it I use it a lot.
