I have for sale the relatively rare Toyo D series 5x7 and 4x5 monorail camera. This predecessor to the G series cameras is a light and compact system that is equally at home in the field or the studio.

As shown in photo no. 3, the 5x7 camera can be carried on the short extension rail. In this configuration, with the 5x7 back and Technika lens board adapter, the camera weighs a mere 4.5 kilos. The standard rail weighs about 500 grams.

Due to the modularity of the Toyo system, everything except the standards and rails can be used with the Toyo G series cameras as well.

What is included:

1. Front and rear 4x5 standards
2. Standard 14" (350mm) and 6" (150mm) extension rails
3. Rail clamp
4. 4x5 revolving back with groundglass, fresnel and focusing hood
5. 5x7 standard
6. 5x7 adapter plate
7. 5x7 back with groundglass, fresnel and focusing hood
8. 4x5 standard bellows
9. 4x5 WA bellows
10. 5x7 bellows
11. Flat Technika lens board adapter
12. Recessed Technika lens board adapter

Features: Geared focusing on the entire rail, geared rise/fall and shift on front and rear standards, manual tilt and swing on both standards.

Condition: The 4x5 part of the camera looks relatively more used, and has some paint loss. But everything functions as it should. The 4x5 bellows has tape on all 4 corners, but this seems to have been done more as a preventive measure - there are no pinholes or tears I can see. The wide angle bellows though looking a little worn is functionally excellent. The 4x5 back is the revolving type and comes with the focusing hood. The groundglass and fresnel are clean and have no marks, etc.

The 5x7 standard and back appear to be minimally used, if at all. The groundglass and fresnel are spotless. The 5x7 bellows shows a few marks here and there, but there are no pinholes or tears.

The standard rail is missing a female cap, but this is a common thread, and you should be able to find a replacement at any hardware store. The finish is slightly marred, but there is no functional problem.

Price: 100,000 JPY for everything shown above, including worldwide EMS shipping via JapanPost.

I would like to sell this as a complete package, but if there is sufficient interest, I may be willing to sell individual components.
If you need 4x5 or half-plate film holders or lenses for this camera, I have them as well.

Thanks for looking,
Kumar

Sure that's a 45D? I've got a D and they've got non-removable bellows. I think it's an E, they're almost the same as D, lighter than G and non-geared, just with removable bellows and those structs on the tilt-control.

These are the D series, with fully geared focusing rail and geared rise/fall and shift movements.
The first Toyos were called Toyo Deluxe, from which the 'D' came. These have 28mm rails. Later the rail size was increased to 39mm. In the later series are the Toyo G, C and E. Toyo themselves never sold a D with the 39mm rails. Omega, the US importer sold the E as the Omega D, if I am not mistaken. The E has a non removable bellows, and are not geared. It came with a non-extendable rail. The C has a tapered bellows, and uses the Toyo Field lensboards.

Time for a price reduction and to split up the package.

The package price, with everything shown, is now 80,000 JPY including worldwide EMS shipping.

5x7 standard, back adapter, back and bellows 60,000 JPY including worldwide EMS shipping.

Everything else - basically the 4x5 camera, complete with rails, wide angle bellows and lens board adapters, is 30,000 JPY, including worldwide EMS shipping.
