My home is turning into a home for unwanted photo equipment. In the past several weeks I've been gifted boxes of "stuff" from three different friends, and I'm starting to sort through it. Some I'm keeping, some is junk, and some, like this nice Pentax ME, deserves to become someone else's treasure, .
This Pentax ME and 50mm f/1.7 SMC Pentax-M lens are both extremely clean. There's no corrosion inside the battery compartment, but there are traces of battery leakage on the cover visible in one of the photos. I don't know if it's functional or not, but I know the previous owner was fastidious (though a little careless about removing the battery) and that this camera was retired when he went over to the digital side. The case is tired and cracked, and the strap is also showing its age. Consider that you're buying the camera only and the case comes along free for the ride. Included is the original lens cap and a viewfinder cap. $35 will get it to your US door.
This camera was given to me by the daughter of the original owner, and whatever I net will go to charity.
