For Sale FS: Darlot Petzval lens ( EU )

Hello

While buying this lens , i was hoping it would cover whole plate format...but it doesn`t and need to sell it. It`s Darlot Paris (s.n 30 597) brass lens with classic petzval configuration.

Focal lenght is about 200-210mm , f stop is 4. It will show a very little vigneting on 5x7 focused on infinity. As i said, on my whole plate camera vignett is quite big and not in my taste...

If you are looking for perfect shape lens, don`t buy it. But if you want to just shoot and have fun with 5x7 and 4x5 plates or negs - it should work for you very well. Front anchromat has balsam separation. There are no serious scratches or other imperfections with glass at both lens ends. Lens hood is a little bent but nothing serious. Rack and pinion focusing works at full range.

Lens comes with cap and mounting flange. It`s ready to go Wooden lens board is not for sale.
