Up for sale is a complete Beseler Color Darkroom.
1) Beseler 45 MXT enlarger in good condition. Includes baseboard. This enlarger is the last in the line and arguably the best in the line. It can be fully adjusted on the lens stage as well as the negative stage and was the second in the line of Beseler 45's in my darkroom going back to '76.

2) Beseler 45S color head, probably the best and most reliable color head that I ever used and was great with multi-contrast B&W paper. It uses bulbs that can still be found and I will include several spare bulbs.

3) Beseler Auto-16 paper processor. This processor was designed for the old EP-2 color process. When I no longer could get EP-2 chemistry and paper I had the the processor professionally converted to RA-4 by Miller Photo Supply in Elkton, VA. and used it very successfully for many years. It was working fine when it was replaced by a Fujimoto CP-51 only because I wanted to be able to print 20x24. The Auto-16 would print from a 4x5 to a 16x whatever all day long dry to dry in 4 minutes. The processor is fully adjustable in speed and chemistry temperature and uses 4 liters of chemistry per tank. It requires a 110 volt service, a water supply and a drain. You could operate it by manually changing water in the two wash tanks. It will also process B&W as well as color...very versatile.

I would like $700 for this Beseler Color darkroom. I will not ship at this time, but will assist in transporting this gear
Any questions, please PM me and I'll get back to you. Not interested in splitting this up at this time.

I have 4 of these. Yes this is the newest version. Great enlarger. I use for color and variable contrast printing. If I didn't already have spares I would be on my way. Neat processor too. Good deal. Current new Beseler LED colorhead ALONE is selling for close to $5000.

Thanks mshchem for the thumbs up this setup worked great for me in printing color and B&W for many years and it is time to pass this on to somebody who will get some good use of this equipment.

This seems like such a great setup... if only I was still on the east coast! Finding an RA-4 processor has been the challenge for me.

Good evening, all. I love the 45, used it through out while in university. A close friend recently passed and I inherited his darkroom. The only hick up is he printed bw and I do color. The last piece in the darkroom puzzle Im missing is the processor. Would you consider selling me the processor?

Hmmmm..... You have my attention, Robert, but I can't get to Buffalo until both PA an NY loosen up the rules a little. Hopefully around the end of the month - I have clients in Buffalo that are getting a little itchy . Too much to bother packing and shipping and that'll probably push the cost beyond where I want to go. Just so you know I'll take the whole package if we make a deal.

Road trip, travel is allowed these days. You aren't that far from Buffalo that it can't be a day trip.

Hi! Rick
I'm originally from Pittsburgh and spent over 30 years in Buffalo. I could describe every tree on that 250 mile trip (door to door). Unfortunately, Erie County, NY is in a lot worse Covid-19 shape than Westmoreland County, PA. I think I'm going to be cautious making my next trip up. Call me chicken (my clients in Buffalo do) but I don't want to chance bringing the virus back with me. And yes, I realize I may never see a deal like this again.

If you can find a way to get the gear to my house in Emporium, I'll bring it the rest of the way on my next trip to Mt Pleasant.

Thanks for the offer, Rick. Unfortunately getting the gear to Emporium is the hard part.
I have some feelers out... we'll see.

I'm committed. (Of course there are a number of people who would say I SHOULD be committed) I will be in Buffalo the first week of June. I will follow up the announcement by PM.

Karen and I had planned to visit her cousin in Buffalo around mid June, but all our plans have been scuttled by the plandemic and overreach by our gubna, that postponed our getting settled into the new house.

Hey Rick
I'm still a little leery but future work demands my presence. The way the two gubnas were trying to outdo each other I was wondering if I was going to make it myself before the Winter Holidays.
