Hello to all here. It would be nice to have intensive discussions about the images. I like strong critics to my work. And you see, my english is not good.
My cameras are MF 6x6 cm and LF 4x5"/ most used with 6x12 cm and the 47XL, allways using color Dia, scanned.
The last time I tried to learn stills and portraits in a (very little) "home-studio". But landscape, architecture and more were made too. This days I looked to find a good way making photobooks as book on demand, there are not so much editors printing good colors with *.icc.

Subject matter is interesting with some nice composition.
Would love to see your images with variations in lighting where the subject is lit from a rule of thirds. Try drawing the viewer in with the most intense amount of light on your favorite portion of the subject in the composition.

Lars, welcome to APUG. I have thought about having photography books printed from my work, there's just not enough of it with which I am happy. Again, welcome to the group.

I hope dictionary.com didn't make me tell him to take the first red tree to Versailles and tip the bull with hex nuts.

Thanks again - and forget dictionary com. I understand 8with my own distionary) better english as this german - sometimes, but not the following:

mmanhard (see above) wrote in this translation: "Gegenstand ist interessant, mit einigen netten Komposition. Würde gerne Drittel sehen Sie Ihre Bilder mit Variationen in der Beleuchtung, wo die beleuchteten unterliegt in der Regel aus der. Versuchen Sie, die Aufmerksamkeit des Betrachters in den intensivsten Lichtmenge auf Ihrem Lieblings-Teil des Motivs in der Zusammensetzung."

If I understand it: I shell make images with good light-variations and the main light setting to the main part of the image.

Chris: you tried blurb.com? I made some test the last time. And the first results there - for they work with *.icc - were ok. Not the last one, I must say. Now the very goog deep black first gots a little grey, it was to light and a little red. They didn´t answer since four days. Will see if the next one is ok again. But the three others editors were not better and more expensiv. If you like see my book: http://www.blurb.com/books/1416189

Hello Lars, welcome to APUG.

I looked at your blurb book (Bilder) and I think you've made three books in one:

a study of light/shadow/colour (the strongest work)
a nice set of portraits
some nice scenic photos

Perhaps splitting the three into different books could make each project stronger. I really like your abstracts where you explore light, shade and the colour in each. Very nice work.

Hi Steve, thanks for your kind words. This book is a remembering for myself for I was out of photography for some month and start a new session. That are examples about 15 years photography, my last session (I had some before - without results).
Till now I didn´t think about to make it in your way, projects with the same kind of image. I will think about. But the next project will be a portrait of some dancers - dancing in trapezoids, than a study of jazz-singers. And in the moment I learn to make stills and portraits.

Why there is only one of you with images to see here. Strong pictures, Gene, especially the rocks and stones.

Guten Tag, Lars. I have a suggestion regarding your book. Although the photography is really good, on every two-page spread where there is a portrait of a person, I did not even notice the other page. Your portrait photography is so engaging that one does not even notice anything else. You might consider grouping by subject so people might enjoy the rest of the photographs. Very nice indeed. This is just my own opinion. I like it very much.

Ja, all the world is here, regards to you Mats. Chris, thanks for your comment. It´s a problem to find women for that. Some don´t like the images I made from than but are so friendly to give it to me. I allways ask them to come without "beauty", only to use a lippstick. Some are artists (dancers...) and professional others not. But I say too it is only there own decision in which kind they sit in front of me.
I have to make efforts now to find more. Thanks for remembering (I hate that, more I hate if they say ok, but don´t come).
