I use a 5 gallon [US not Imperial] paint bucket and marked it on the inside with a 4 liter and 5 liter level. But Canadian Tire, how prefect! All the Canadians spend their Saturday mornings there for some reason.
Whereas the 'Mericans are at Harbour Freight.
Canadian Tire has more of a presence in Eastern Canada then here - I rarely go there or buy from them.
Their website is a good Canadian source for grabbing illustrative examples of thing like pails.

......any chance to budget for that new scanner?
You have a good medium format scanner and an excellent large format scanner.Yes, I think so. This time, however, I’ll do a lot more research. The Epson was bought on the spur of the moment.
Matt there's 59 of the in Alberta & 54 Canadian Tire stores in BC..... I've got one 10 minutes bike ride away and in the metropolis of Calgary an hour away there are 10. Delta must be the black hole in the lower mainland
Nah - there is one a short drive away.
But they just don't have the "front of mind" reputation that I understand them to have in Ontario, where over 200 of the 504 stores are located.
Careful with that. Remember that Canadian Tire is our church, just as Tim Horton is where we get our sacred elixir of life.
Yes that tires as opposed to tyres which are ideal for vehicles. I had never heard of Canadian Tire or Tim Horton until this thread. Two staples of Canadian life, it appears
Is a garage fitter with a tyre around his neck a tyred fitter or a tired fitter and would you want a tired fitter working on your car's wheels?
pentaxuser
More resembles a Home Cheapo store here. Bad enough. But I don't think anything could ever get lower in the bottom of the barrel than Harbor Freight. But I look at the bright side ... Matt started this tangent, so should write his own jaywalking ticket.
Oh, and a 60Mhz NMR spectrometer.
This is what a large Canadian Tire store looks like:

That's pretty much what any generic store looks like regardless of what they sell.....
True - but I expect those unfamiliar with Canadian Tire may think that they are mostly a tire store.
Whereas they sell all sorts of stuff that can be re-purposed to help people minimize the mushiness of their FP4+ grain
What's a fitter

That thing must be quite vintage, unless it's a benchtop?
You must have a really big magnetic stirrer

Vintage, and it still works.
