Hi all, i have been printing with a box of PWT recently which is obviously long expired but prints well with 6ml of restrainer added.
However, there is a random pink cast on some sheets while others are fine. I remember there was an issue with this pink cast on the last batches but i’m curious to know why some sheets are affected while others not. Any ideas?

I've never seen it. I'm still using what's left of a large purchase pg TWT from the very last coating run. All my Agfa MCC went a pink colour emulsion and base.

Thanks for your reply Ian.
Do you have any idea what sent the Agfa pink?
I don’t think its a processing fault on my part as some sheets are fine.

Interesting. Was the pink cast evident on the RR paper directly after fixing/washing or did it appear over time? Its also odd how adjacent papers in my box of PWT can be affected by age or not.

"adjacent papers being affected and not"

Were they (or is it "are they"?) affected in a random order? Or in an inward/outward order?

It’s ‘are they’ (If I understand you correctly) as I have not used all the paper as yet.
The sheets seem to be affected in a random order. Some prints from the same session are fine while others are not. In my limited past experience with expired paper it is those sheets at the top and bottom of the box that succumb to fogging first. But I’m not sure this is a fogging issue.

As promised...ignore the two dark spots. That's just my phone camera.
