Aside of the prototype price-premium, is there anything special with that lens?
Fast catadioptric lenses had already been made.

I guess the flange focal distance is too short to adapt to the FD mount.
I then would have to buy an R-body just for it...

We canon FD users are not impressed with a PROTOTYPE 600mm f5.0 mirror lens, when we can have an actual PRODUCTION Canon 800mm f3.8 mirror lens.

On the other hand the Leicaflex bodies are sublime, and the "R" bodies are also great, being "improved and refined" Minolta cameras. (I say this as a good thing, i appreciate Minolta cameras.)
