Fomatone MG Classic edge frilling

I understand; I was wondering about the 5x7 negs that printed without problems. Mostly because if the borders are trimmed after printing, it's obvious the problem would 'go away' since any problematic edges would disappear during trimming.

Agreed...
The 5x7 negs were contacted full-frame with big white borders on the 8x10 paper, un-trimmed, using a black matt-board mask..
The factory edges didn't show any frilling where there was no exposure.
I have ordered some 11x14 paper for contacting my 8x10 negs.
An expensive work-around, but the results will be worth it...Fomatone is beautiful paper.

With respect to processing Foma doesn’t indicate anything special for this paper.

I cut Fomabrom, Fomatone and Fomaspeed directly from rolls but haven't had any problems except the Baryta papers behave like big springs with high tension.

On the other hand, over the years with each roll Foma delivered some milliliters of hardener for free, too

Free hardener. Does it smell like formaldehyde?

Did Agfa paper smell like German lager?

Not quite, but I did have some packs that had a very pleasant scent to it. Not a particularly healthy one, I imagine. But I loved the smell of opening the package. I still have a single pack of OrWo paper that smells similarly. It's a sweetish, phenolic kind of scent. Quite nice.

Some men smell ladies under garments, but not her thank God! Nothing wrong with vanilla flavored stop bath either.
