I just bought Kodak Tourist, I trimmed a spool of Foma 120 200 to fit the 620 then found that the well on the ends are too shallow to allow the device in the camera that holds the spool in position to seat, the same on the take up end, I needed to drill out the spool. I dont have any Tmax in 120 on hand to see if there is any difference with a Kodak spool. I had noticed that I had harder time loading my Kowa 66 with Foma, my Mamyia Universal does not seem to have the problem.

I've modified several Tourist cameras for 120 film, and you need to shave a bump in the film chamber to allow the roll to fit, it must be done equally on top and bottom. I only modify the feed side, and use a 620 spool on the take up side.
How did you shave it?
Dremel rotary tool and diamond burrs, and many test fits until it worked , then a paint job.

An alternative is to re-spool film onto a 620 spool.
One more thing, if you look in the feed side of the Tourist, at the bottom where the spool rides, you will see two rails that the center post is between. These must be ground down just enough to allow a 120 spool to be inserted. 120 and 620 film are exactly the same, the difference is the spool. The dimensions between flanges is the same, the difference is the flange thickness, making it appear that 120 is wider film. I have a Tourist II and an original Tourist that I may modify in the near future, if I do I will take photos of the procedure and post them. You must be careful not to grind the chrome tension finger that's in the back on the bottom, it will ruin the backing paper and film as it winds past it if it's sharp.

The camera I got is pristine, came in leather case, no sign of rot on the straps, it might have been use a few times, but it is so nice I don't want to grind it, I will respool until I find another not so pristine to work on. I ordered a couple of rolls Tmax 100 in 620 from B&H to use and then will use the spools for Foma.
Good decision.
